Would you like to tone your thighs, flatten your tummy, sculpt your
chest and firm your arms in just over half an hour per week!!?? It sounds
unbelievable doesn't it!? Well, it can be done!!!!
We are
utilizing an adapted form of 'High intensity exercise' which has been used in
the USA for a few years. It is called 'time under tension'. A development of
this, combined with initial research from the
West point military academy study has
led to a highly effective method of resistance exercise known as 'Express
Fitness'.
We are the
first in the area (and quite possibly the country) to offer such Express Fitness
through the application of training lines.
Cardiovascular
improvement, strength gains and flexibility improvement are all possible in a
training time of approximately 19 minutes per session. Individuals who follow
this program twice per week (hence 39mins per week) will see major improvements
in all aspects of fitness. The levels of improvement will of course be directly
related to how much effort is put forth.
The secret is
not to count how many repetitions you perform. Instead concentrate on
performing each repetition in perfect style. When and only when the timer sounds
it is time to move on. This marks a major shift away from conventional exercise
programs. The number of repetitions count for nothing, what’s important is the
QUALITY of each repetition and the TOTAL DURATION of each exercise you do.
Quite simply
Nautilus exercise stations are placed in a line. In between or situated close by
are several pieces of cardio-vascular equipment. We have opted to use 'spinning
bikes'.
We use a
traffic light system with pre-programmed timings. You complete (or try to
complete!) a specified time on each exercise station immediately followed by a
timed period on the cardio vascular equipment. You’ll alternate resistance work
with cardio vascular work, in sequence, along the training line. All of the
major muscle groups will receive proper stimulation as will the heart and lungs
for the duration of the workout.
Whatever your
goal or current fitness level, Express Fitness will work for you. If you’d like
to lose fat, improve your body shape, tone, improve stamina or even build muscle
it’s all possible in a productive and time efficient manner. Now, time really
doesn’t have to be a factor when it comes to exercise!
So simple, yet so highly effective.
